RWSB General Meeting-February 26th

Mary-Mark Aguilar Haggard was born in Chicago of a Mexican father and an American mother. At the age of seven her family landed in L.A. where she was raised. From the time she was age of 10, her parents were John Birch members and there was always much discussion in the home about what was going on in the country. In high school she attended Free Enterprise seminars and classes on Saturdays and in the evenings. She went on to earn a degree in Economics from UCLA.
She married Nate Haggard in her twenties. Once her oldest was three, she began educating him. Then she proceeded to home school her six children all the way through high school. She home schooled for 30 years. They have all graduated from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California. During her years of home schooling she often taught classes to other home schooled students. She always enjoyed working with the
students. She now does online classes and has 60 students all over the country. She teaches Advanced American Government and Economics and The Middle Ages.
She has also been public speaking for over twenty years starting with talks on homeschooling. In 2011 she started speaking at Birch events, Tea Party meetings and at Republican Women’s clubs. Her main topic was and still is, The Federal Reserve and Inflation. She has also spoken on Education, the “trade deals” and other topics.  Mary-Mark has spent most of her life reading and studying Birch material and related works. She loves our country and wants to spread the word on how and why things have changed so much since our founding.
She has always appreciated the John Birch Society and loves to share her passion by teaching and speaking.
