Meet Senator Mike Morrell: A Legacy of Leadership, Dedication, and Conservative Values

Born and raised in California, Senator Mike Morrell has spent his life building and giving back to the Golden State. He married his wife Joanie here, raised their family, and founded two successful businesses: Provident Home Loans and Provident Realty in 1989.

Legislative Service

Senator Mike Morrell: Champion for Small Businesses and Economic Growth

Elected in 2010, Senator Mike Morrell served California’s 23rd State Senate District with distinction for a decade. Renowned as a tireless advocate for small businesses, taxpayers, and economic prosperity, he earned top ratings from prominent organizations like the California Chamber of Commerce and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

Throughout his tenure in the California State Legislature, Senator Morrell displayed exceptional leadership and strategic expertise. His fundraising expertise powered decisive victories, securing his campaigns by substantial margins. Beyond his own success, he became a pivotal force in advancing Republican causes, leveraging his fundraising and organizational skills to bolster the campaigns of his colleagues and contribute significantly to their achievements. Senator Morrell’s legacy reflects his unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth, protecting taxpayers, and empowering California’s business community.

  • Building Industry Association

  • Rancho Cucamonga YMCA

  • Inland Empire Economic Partnership

  • Advisory board of Gary Anderson School of Business at UC Riverside and the Pacific Justice Institute.

  • Board member of Arizona Christian University

 

Family and Values

Senator Morrell’s family mirrors his commitment to service:

His daughter Kristen has taught American Exceptionalism at Arizona Christian University. His oldest son David, served in the White House as Special Assistant and Associate Counsel to the President, and most recently as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. His youngest son Matthew is an operations manager for a commercial development company in Virginia. Christopher has built a career in the supermarket industry.
