Jordan Marks
(Running for County Assessor)
Jordan Marks is our Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate for the Office of Ernest J. Dronenburg, Jr., San Diego County Assessor / Recorder / County Clerk. In his position he assists taxpayers with navigating issues in the office. He also performs legislative / inter-governmental relations for the Assessor and helped usher in the passing of an ordinance to adopt Proposition 171 providing property tax relief to victims of fires and other governor declared natural disasters.
Prior to working for Assessor Dronenburg Jordan was District Director for Chairwoman of the California State Board of Equalization serving five counties in Southern California and over 10 million constituents. He also led the Government Affairs department for the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors®, San Diego County’s largest member trade association
Jordan is a graduate from Mira Costa College with an Associate of Arts in Economics, where he also served as Student President / College Trustee. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honors, from the University of California Los Angeles. Also, he has a Juris Doctorate from University at Buffalo School of Law, with a concentration in financial services, and is an attorney licensed to practice in the State of California.
